Wow, I envy you guys. I wish I could stay under 100m a month.

Question for those of you on Virgin though.. I read, .25 \ min for the first 10 minutes, .10 after that. Does that mean PER CALL, IE 15min phone call = (10 x .25) + (5 x .10) = $3. Or, does that mean .25 for the first 10 minutes of calls for that paticular month and after your first 10 minutes, all minutes there after are .10? IE, you make 70min worth of calls in a month, (10 x .25) + (60 x .10) = $8.50.

It would be pretty decent for the second scenario, but i'm not so sure about the first.. If you make 80m worth of calls per month and we'll say 3 minutes per call, that would all be a .25\min or $20\month which, compared to something like Verizon's $25\month plan (100 daytime \ 500 N+W) doesn't seem to hot... And of course with VZW, you get a phone. Of course, you're under a contract, but...

This type of phone is not meant for the frequent user with long conversations, but rather for someone who makes few calls and keeps them short. There are a lot of people that fit this profile who don't want a large monthly bill. Making 9 - 3 minute (.75 cents) calls a month would cost $6.75 for the month, which would meet the minimum of $20 every 3 months. Good as an emergency type phone.

I saw that Sam's club had some sort of deal on the Vox (Audiovox 8500). It was like ~$150 but it came with $120 worth of minutes.

i bought the Rave phone online a few weeks ago, i've originally from the uk, where pay as u go is much bigger over there.

The phone is great, and coverage is great aswell, i didn't want something on a contract as i don't make many calls, but just wanted something to take with me whilst i'm driving thru the winter months.

Highly recommended
