All kinds of connection problems today, Qwest not answering their phone. Message says Code Red problem/Cisco 675. Notice on site says problem solved by setting web to disable. No other settings mentioned. Mine has has been set to disable since the day I installed it.

So, question is, are they missing some info on this issue? Or, are there simply some other problems with the network right now?

TIA

Couple issues going on.

First, Code Red has been having fun with Cisco routers. It tries to infect them, & then locks them up with a buffer under/overrun. Power cycling them solves the problem, but only until it attacks again. The solution is to either disable the web interface (set web disable), or move it to a port higher than 1024 (set web port 8080, or whatever). Disabling the web interface works most of the time, moving the port works 100% of the time.

Second, Qwest.NET picked this morning to upgrade authentication servers in six cities, Seattle being one of them. Supposedly they're upgrading/whatever due to "Code Red issues," but I don't know why an authentication server would be affected. But they're down, whatever the reason.

I signed on this morning to a 20+ deep call queue, where normally I sit 15 minutes between calls at this time of morning. Pro DSL is swamped as well.

Thanks. Since I've had web interface disabled since day one, I'll assume it's the authentication servers causing the problems.

Man, I'd hate to be in your shoes today.:D

It hasn't been pretty, but our call queue is finally empty. So things have gotten a little better.

They're begging people to work overtime, & 1/2 hour lunches are mandatory. :| But I'll be leaving right on time.

We have a few acres here, our yard is decent sized but not huge. 1/2 of our property is covered by trees.

The scanner isn't the best, but neither are my scanning skills.

Right now I don't have the money for a good camera, & I'd rather buy a SLR camera + decent scanner.
