No no, you didn't understand what Trump meant when he urged his supporters to injure protesters, that he would pay for their legal issues. You aren't supposed to take Trump at his word, you see--at least, not at the times that you are not supposed to. It's your fault for not understanding when Trump is "just being silly" or is actually being honest!


Conservatives on this board and elsewhere have truly opened up their brains and allowed themselves to be dragged down into some Orwellian post-truth dystopia. This is, apparently, the world that they want. "Just tell me what I want to hear and I'll ignore the rest!"

Contemporary US conservatives must be stopped if this country is to have a future.

that's weird. Actual numbers, which I'm sure you know, inform you that black people far more often kill black people. hispanic people far more often kill hispanic (or even black people). Muslims almost exclusively kill other muslims, etc.

The reality is that the overwhelmingly vast majority of protestors on both sides are peaceful and a decent number of them even try to step in and stop the bad actors/break up fights. The violence, on both sides, has came and is coming from a very few assholes so judging either side by the actions of the very few assholes is just asinine.

The concern is more that the Trump camp rails against that handful of violent anti-Trump protesters while dancing around the violence that their hero's policies have fostered outside of protests. There have been very real deaths, threats and desecrations, and it's disgusting that these are treated as no worse than an overzealous activist punching someone with a MAGA hat.

There have been very real deaths, threats and desecrations, and it's disgusting that these are treated as no worse than an overzealous activist punching someone with a MAGA hat.

The concern is also that random individuals that kill minorities are generally charged with murder and condemned by those that they may otherwise have a lot in common politically with, whereas organized violent mobs often operate with minimal consequences and are celebrated.
