Violence before the election

A republican news paper, THE ARIZONA REPUBLIC, Arizona's largest republican paper, has endorsed Hillary Clinton.
Now they are receiving death threats.

And then we have the firebombing of an North Carolina GOP office, which I personally believe was done by Trump supporters just so they could blame the democrats of violence.
Oddly enough, democrats have since raised some $13,000 to help rebuild that very GOP office.

And then we have Trump claiming the election is rigged.
And I assume only rigged if he loses, not if he wins.
With that Trump rigged election talk, many Trump supporters are threatening to look over the shoulders of voters at the polls, and to hang around polls waiting and watching.
For what I don't know.

I see a climate of real hate and violence on the horizon.
Especially before the election and more so if Trump's poll numbers continue to fall.
Or, if more women should come forward claiming Donald Trump molested them.

The nature of Donald Trump brought this climate of violence and hate upon us.
All the violence we have seen at so many Trump rallies is about to spread into the voting booth.

It is not that hard to imagine white Trump supporters hanging around Black and Hispanic communities and their voting locations to intimidate Black and Hispanic voters.
And to create disruption inside so those locations will be forced to shut down, turning away minority voters.
This would be so east for Trump supporters to do.
Especially in red states that are leaning towards Hillary.
And most likely the red states will have republican secretary of states to control the states election process.
How easy would it be for a republican secretary of state to halt and shut down voting locations in minority population areas claiming that, "We Had To Shut This Location Down For Safety Reasons. After All, We Are Only Looking Out For The Safety Of Our Citizens".
In other words, a red state by red state repeat of that same old Katherine Harris dirty trickery.
#1. Let the Trump supporters create chaos at the polls.
#2. Allow the secretary of state to shut that polling place down.

That would certainly create violence after the election, especially if that trickery elected Donald Trump as president.
However as things heat up, will we see more violence before the election?
Is this what we are in for?
And say Hillary blows Donald out of the water on the last debate. Then what?
Considering this debate is the last big chance, the very last chance, should Donald blow it and Hillary succeed then what anger will that stir up in Trump supporters?
Just wondering....

With the rehtoric of election stealing and vote rigging completely undermining the entire process I'm more inclined to be concerned about the violence AFTER the election. It's coming up more and more at rallies.

It could happen before and after if this type of rhetoric holds true

Trump said to watch you precincts. I’m going to go, for sure,” said Steve Webb, a 61-year-old carpenter from Fairfield, Ohio.

“I’ll look for . . . well, it’s called racial profiling. Mexicans. Syrians. People who can’t speak American,” he said. “I’m going to go right up behind them. I’ll do everything legally. I want to see if they are accountable. I’m not going to do anything illegal. I’m going to make them a little bit nervous.

And if Trump doesn’t win, some are even openly talking about violent rebellion and assassination, as fantastical and unhinged as that may seem.

“If she’s in office, I hope we can start a coup. She should be in prison or shot. That’s how I feel about it,” Dan Bowman, a 50-year-old contractor, said of Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee. “We’re going to have a revolution and take them out of office if that’s what it takes. There’s going to be a lot of bloodshed. But that’s what it’s going to take. . . . I would do whatever I can for my country.”

He then placed a Trump mask on his face and posed for pictures.

Meh. It's all talk. Any of it that isn't will be dealt with swiftly in this age of the cell phone. Cops want honest elections, too, so if the poll workers say somebody is disruptive then any miscreants will be gone quickly, one way or another. Poll workers have the local precinct on speed dial.

It's the same right wing conspiracy theory we've dealt with for decades, the same way they rally the troops under the umbrella of faux victimhood. We woulda, coulda, shoulda won but they's cheaters!

The only thing different is that Trump's dial goes to 11....

And which side actually followed through with physical violence instead of just threats?

http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/16/politics/north-carolina-gop-office-vandalized/

http://www.ifyouonlynews.com/news/i...dfund-rebuilding-of-firebombed-nc-gop-office/

Meanwhile, here in the real world, Democrats started up a Go Fund Me campaign and surpassed their goal in a matter of hours. The following message accompanied the fundraiser:

On October 16, a North Carolina headquarters of the Republican Party wasfirebombed , and an abhorrent threat was painted on its outside wall

As Democrats, we are starting this campaign to enable the Orange County, North Carolina Republican office to re-open as soon as possible.

Until an investigation is undertaken, we cannot know who did this or why. No matter the result, this is not how Americans resolve their differences. We talk, we argue, sometimes we march, and most of all we vote. We do not resort to violence by individuals or by mobs.

So, let’s all pitch in , no matter what your party affiliation, and get that office open again quickly.

The campaign’s goal was $10,000 to cover the cost of rebuilding the GOP office, but in less than four hours they had raised a total of $13,167. Having shot past their original goal, the fundraiser has stopped accepting donations. Like usual, even with all of Trump’s bluster and “billions,” it was liberals who saved the day.

I have a lot of "Trump Pence" signs in ,my neighborhood. (Side note: There is an odd relationship between Dodge owners and Trump signs. Does Trump have a friends and family discount offer for supporters? )
Looking forward to Election day to see if any of these idiots try anything around the polls.
