What is it with people and having to get violent when someone disagrees with their views ? Lose all credibility when it comes to that. I don't support the tea party folks, but they didn't do anything to cause this. Wonder where Al Sharpton is ? If it had been a black man that was hit he would have been all over it.

Nathan Tabor, a business owner and head of the Forsyth County Republican Party and a former candidate for public office, says he and 25 other people were protesting government bailouts in front of Rep. Mel Watt's (D-N.C.) Greensboro office on Tuesday.

"We were just there to do our constitutional right to have a peaceful protest." Tabor said.

Nathan Tabor, a business owner and head of the Forsyth County Republican Party and a former candidate for public office, says he and 25 other people were protesting government bailouts in front of Rep. Mel Watt's (D-N.C.) Greensboro office on Tuesday.

"We were just there to do our constitutional right to have a peaceful protest." Tabor said.

In the video, Spencer is seen telling Tabor that he hit him because Tabor pushed him. Spencer denies hitting Tabor's wife. Both men have filed assault charges against each other.

Spencer referred FOX8 to his attorney Joe Williams, who said: "We are going to deal with this in the courtroom. Mr. Tabor is going to find out that being wealthy doesn't make a difference in a courtroom."

Nathan Tabor is the fringe of the Wing Nut Fundie Fringe in North Carolina.

He has been trying to purchase his way into elected office on the state and/or national level for six years.

He (and Tim D'Annunzio make Virginia Foxx and Patrick McHenry look moderate, intelligent and tolerant.

What's with this obsession with Al Sharpton coming to his defense if he was black? Didn't whites in the South have the KKK and the government coming to their aid, usually at the same time?

And you would have committed assault and battery. That's the way it will go down, them being mutual combatants. In the video it's clear the while guy pushed the black guy first and then the black guy retaliated and punched him. Unless this Tabor guy wants to milk this for publicity he'd be smart just to let it drop or it could possibly end up on his record.

Whatever Tabor's politics, punching the guy was wrong, and the other should be charged accordingly.

But Tabor then going on Neil Cavuto's show, on Fox news, and implying that it was Obama's fault that he got punched was beyond idiotic.

It is battery if you contact someone in any way, force doesn't even enter the equation, you could tap them on the shoulder with your pinky finger. All that is required is that you were in a situation where you felt threatened , that is the assault part.

I always through that WWW wrestling was the sport that best typified the tea party.

With all the funky costumes and signs, the tea party still has not quite gotten so advanced that they yet embrace the feather boa, but trust me, its coming.

I think that was more for 'local' consumption.

Tabor has a reputation as a trust fund 'rich kid' who uses his family's money to get out of legal problems - both personal and professional.

It's not really earth-shattering stuff. He was caught trespassing and tearing up a farmers' field with a four-wheeler; and got spanked for signing - then backing out of - a contract in the family 'bidness'.
