Actually, the Vine app encourages ON-camera substitution. When you take your finger off the screen, it stops recording. Place finger again to start recording again. Nearly every Vine video takes advantage of this start/stop design and many use it for instant "magic" substitution. If this guy actually used the Vine app (before criticizing Vine as if he had used it), he'd know that.
