About the comparisons. When Tom Seaver pitched they always said there would never be another Tom Seaver. Low and behold Nolan Ryan well surpassed him. People say there will never be another Jordan. Kobe has a very good shot. The ONLY thing that sets Jordan apart from everyone else was desire to win. Yes he was great at what he did, but so were a lot of others. They just didn't have the desire that Jordan STILL does. The heart is what makes a champion.

JEEZ.. kobe close to jordan! thats a load of crapola. the only reason why kobe is similar is because hes a wannabe. he styles himself to michael jordan, from his stupid arm band to the way he talks. jordan could carry a whole team on his back and kobe cant even get it done with all the talent around him. all jordan had was pippen and the worm. put kobe on that team and they wouldnt even make the playoffs. some people...

HAHA, you guys make me laugh... jordan made the turnaround jumper an art as well as a weapon so dont go saying a putz like kobe who is trying to learn jordan's technique does it better than the man who perfected it. btw jordan wasnt too shabby at defense too, just a measly Nine-time NBA All-Defensive First Team, and he played a little baseball in the mean time or he wouldve had more. i dont think kobe will ever see those type of honors. he'll be too busy making songs with tyra banks and pillow fighting with shaq.

You may not like the way Stockalone plays, neither do I, but they ARE good. They perfected the pick'n'roll. You might not like the way they play, but they do have some qualities.

And Kobe will never reach the level of a Michael Jordan, never. Not even close. Period.

The Lakers won the championship because they were Shaq's team. Just look at the Lakers now. Kobe tries to assert himself, tries to expand his role while reducing Shaq's, and the Lakers lose to the Clippers and the Jazz as a result.
