There's a difference between being defeated and dying. Vashj dies. Illidan dies with the help of Akama and Mav. First Kael was defeated but not killed. Kil'jaeden will most likely be defeated and not killed.

That would be nice, but it's probably impossible.

I would prefer that the actual characters of the Warcraft universe kill each other instead of some guild, since that seems more appropriate (1v1 battle is always more epic than 40 people essentially zerging a single guy). Unfortunately WoW is a cash cow and requires all of the Warcraft storyline content to keep going 😛

Durnholde is AWESOME though. Yeah, it's a huge cop-out, but everyone loves it when Thrall bitch slaps the guard and takes his gear 😛
