Did a search and didn't see this.

Amazon has the Viking 128 MB Smartmedia for $63.99 - $25 MIR = $38.99 (free shipping). Great price.

I was a little luckier and had an old $5 in my account and also $50 gift certificate from giftcertificate.com that costs $40 (there was a promotion for $10 off of $50 a while back). My total cost after rebate is $23.99. Maybe some of guys have other amazon promotions hanging around to make this deal even sweeter.

Note: I have heard that the Viking rebates do take a while.

Yeah, I did the exact same deal a couple days ago. It was posted all over FW and I think mentioned here. Good deal if the rebate ever comes through. They still have not shipped yet though.

alluu , Mine is supposed to ship between 3-4 December, not sure whats taking so long. I also have a Nomad II but I'm putting this in a Rio One that already has 32 Meg of memory. not the best MP3 player but it has all the basics and will have 160 Meg of memory. My other son has a regular Rio 300 with 64 Megs memory and likes it. I don't know why but neither one of them wants to use the Nomad II, even though with the new firmware it will take 128 megs of memory. Still trying to figure out what to do with that other $25.00 in my Supercertificate. It sucks that they don't have Amazon $25.00 Gift Certificates. Is it possible to add $25.00 to an existing certificate so I can by a $50.00 Amazon GC?

mscubsfan , It was kind of confusing on shipping. Next to the price it said free shipping but below that it said this qualifies as an item to get free shipping if you spend over $99.00. I'm really confused about this also. Maybe they made a mistake and fixed it. Anyone else know?

Text is this the same product? since the rebate is from viking this would be a pretty hot deal. final price would be $25 + shipping.

The coupon is from Viking alright, and it says "valid only if purchased from Amazon.com".

Viking form states that rebate is valid only if purchased from Amazon.com. Also, while this is likely the same product from Newegg, it is not currently in stock.

My biggest concern ordering this now is that other posts above are concerned with shipping delays. The rebate form must be postmarked within 15 days of purchase, so by the time you get, it may be too late to send in the rebate form and Viking is notorious slow sending checks.

You gotta spend $99 to get free shipping.

Any applicable Amazon coupons these days?

There is a $5 off coupon flying around and for free shipping shows up on my order. Just ordered the card only. I ordered a second one and free shipping was there too.

Nope, no need to spend $99 to get free shipping. This product has the free shipping logo next to it.

Will this SmartMedia card work with my MP3 player (Rio 500)? I checked Sonicblue's website, but
they're not exactly clear on it. If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.
