hello,
just saw this at newegg. the VX924 with its incredible response times now has a huge $50 rebate. the rebate seems to be good from the 12th through the 18th. might make a good gift for somebody.

edit: oops forgot the link. here you go Linky

Damn that's a good price. I've been looking at this LCD for a while now. Definitely a top notch gaming LCD.
I guess I need to sweet talk the wife tonight. 🙂

ChiefValue has it refurb for 279.99 w/ free shipping.

Wouldn't your odds of getting one with dead pixels go way up for a refurb, or are they not allowed to resell one that has known dead pixels?

This looks very nice. However, I haven't bought a monitor online before, and I'm a little concerned about this:
**Dead Pixels Policy: Replacement or Refund for 8 or more dead pixels only.
So if it shows up with 7 dead pixels, I'm stuck with them?

Also, why does it say "One Day Sale?"

The note about the dead pixels is worrisome.

Possible that this is a dump of a bad load?

Bought it last week and I'm very happy with it. No dead pix and the colors are incredible, very vibrant, deeeep blacks. Oh, and no ghosting of any kind in gaming/video.

BTW, price @ egg is 299.99AR.

Is this monitor really that good? I think any low ms monitor has to sacrifies on color fidelity or other performance factors. ANyone here used one?

I recently bought one. Upgraded from my Sony trinitron CRT and will say that the monitor is awesome for gaming. I have tried a variety of games with it - BF2, UT2k4, Q4, NFS:MW, and haven't noticed any ghosting. The ONLY drawback to this monitor is that the height is not adjustable. But, neither was the height on my CRT so I don't feel that I'm missing much.

There's a few threads on this monitor in the GH forum. This is an excellent gaming monitor, but it does sacrifce some color accuracy for increased speed. Also, not the best LCD for watching videos, but still decent.

This is an awesome monitor at the price. I bought this, and have had it for about 2 months and love it. I paid 350 and have had no problems what so ever. Awesome deal from Newegg.
