Viewsonic VX2035 DVI problem

I just got my new monitor, a Viewsonic VX2035. It works fine on Analog (VGA) however when I hook it up to DVI (which I'd rather use obviously) all I get is a "no signal" error on the monitor and no picture at all. I'm running an integrated GeForce 6150 on my Asus A8N-VM CSM mobo. Any help is appreciated! Thanks

You are talking about the VX2035WM? Man I can't believe after all this time they haven't fixed this issue, and that people continue to have problems on an otherwise excellent monitor. Do a search on google, you will find a few options. If none of it works out, then have it replaced.

I've already done a search on Google... only thing I can seem to come up with is online stores and specs for the monitor though 🙁

Down the page a bit there is a link.
In that link is a link to DVI Recover (or w/e it's called). That may help.

But before you do that try powering down your computer and monitor and unplugging both. Then plug in the monitor to the computer, then the power to the computer then the power to the monitor.
Somehow, try to reset it with all the power stuff 😛
I've heard of some people fixing it without dvi recover but I'm not sure how. I think they basically unplugged then replugged everything in.

Thanks wizboy- I'll check that out, however I'm staring at the box for the monitor and it clearly says "VX2035wm" 😛 I've also seen it on several online stores, etc. so it's definately out

Whats the difference between the new one and the old VX2025wm?
Type of panel?

And DVI Recover should be a last ditch effort. Do everything else before that (so sit on this thread for a few days).

I would definitely give Wizboy's suggestion a go for. I had the same problem w/ the 2025 model the other day. I did the power down idea and it worked like a charm.

Faster response time and built in speakers, however it seems to have a little bit smaller viewing angle. As for the DVI problem on it- it mysteriously started working this morning when I turned it on! :Q I have no idea why, but it seems to be fine now. Very weird 😕

So they probably went to a TN panel? (just a guess)
So would that make the newer VX2035wm worse? (because the old one had a P-MVA panel?)

Anyway, glad to see it fixed itself.

To tell ya the truth, I'm not even sure what panel is in it. I'm happy it's fixed now though- no matter what panel it is, it's a huge improvement over my old 15" 😛
