Last week I was considering to buy a Dell 2007WFP for my first LCD monitor, but I decided against it as I rather get a cheaper monitor to save some cash.

I can get both the VX2025WM and L204WT for the same price, but which panel is going to give me better picture quality?

I hear the LG uses a newer TN panel that looks a lot better than other TNs. Plus is has a very high contrast ratio, although I fear the panel may suffer in other areas to achieve that high ratio.

The VX2025WM on the other hand has received loads of good reviews, and has a true 8 bit panel. As for its minuses, adjustability is not really an issue for me, and I doubt I'll use HDCP.

I really am looking for some professional guidance here, or someone who has owned/compared both monitors at their native resolutions. Just for the record, I'll be using the monitor for gaming (PC and XBOX360, response time isn't an issue with me) as well as a lot of web browsing, a bit of image editing and movies every now and then.
