I was going to buy a VX2025wm 20.1 inch widescreen monitor (8ms gray-to-gray (avg.); 16ms white-black-awhite (typ), 800:1 contrast ratio, brightness= 300, res=1680x1050. But then i saw the VX922. its 19 inch, 1280x1024, 2ms gray-to-gray (avg.); 2ms white-black-white (typ), 650:1 contrast, brightness= 270... VX922 is cheper... 2ms worth it for other inferior features? im coming from analog 17 inch dell monitor (not ultrasharp, came with system) its got 1028x1024 res, brightness=250, 450:1 contrast, 16 ms response time...which monitor is greatest/ will i see a differance out of either? I use it for Gaming mostly and web browsing...dont really watch movies

I'd think the VX2025WM is plenty good enough for gaming. But for response time there is 'good enough' (ViewSonic VX2025WM) and there is 'spectacular' (ViewSonic VX922/Samsung 940BF/BenQ FP93GX). I would easily sacrifice a few ms. of response time for the full 8-bit color/0 dithering that the VX2025WM offers. Gamers like high contrast too, and the VX2025WM will be better at that.

I have both actually. I replaced my VX-922 that I have had for about six months, and got the 2025 to replace it, and I couldnt be happier. I like the higher resolution and the widescreen much better. I just use the VX-922 that I had for running my xbox360.

I think the higher resolution of the 2025 is well worth it over the vx-922. The response time isnt going to be noticeable between the two, at least I cannot tell a difference.

I have the VX2025 and even wrote a review of it. It's a short review but I like the monitor a lot.

It just makes my "rig" feel complete. It didn't feel complete with a regular 19in. That 20.1in WS really is just plain better.

It's kinda a no compitition. Lets see, fast 19in vs. super cool and still fast 20.1 UBER WS MONITOR1111!!!!ONEONEONE ;)
