Mine's still in tip top shape, with no dead pixels. :) I just got my new hard drive (got in on the WD 120GB Dell deal too) and I've been fighting with that for the past few days and I haven't had a chance to play too many games yet. I played Combat Flight Simulator 2 for the past few days and it looks great. When I get a chance to play some FPS games I will let you know how it goes. :)

just got mine yesterday. Man did my desk get more room from the old crt. This is one nice monitor. I like the way it soothes my eyes. Haven't really tried any games yet except for Lineage whihc is only a 640x480 res online rpg game. So i'll let you guys know how it does on CS or any of the FPS games.

Some people are complaining about dead pixels and I'd like to suggest a solution.

Sometimes you can wake them up! Take a Q-Tip or some object that won't scratch the screen and gently rub back and forth over the dead pixel. If it doesn't turn back on, repeat the procedure but press a little harder. Obviously, be careful. I don't own this LCD and am not in the market. I do have a 15" LCD and it had about 6 dead pixels when I first turned it on. I resurrected all dead pixels using the above procedure. So don't dismiss an imperfect LCD when in fact you likely have a perfectly good screen.

On the back of of my VG191, there is a rectangular cover on the base that comes off. Anyone have any idea what this is for??

Also I realize that the recommended refresh rate is 60Hz, while this monitor can go up to 75.
Since LCD's pixels dont refresh, what effect does refresh rate have on LCD monitors?

i htink that the door is for wall mount. Doens't seem useful at all there.

I just left it alone
