OD.com has the 17" & 18" Flat Panel Monitors for $800 & $950 respectively. There's a coupon for 20% off and a $100 rebate on these monitors.

The rebate is here and is good through the end of May.

Hope this is a good deal for some... I keep getting itchy for one of these skinny monitors but really hesitant to drop this much dough.

Looking at the specs I'd want to take a look at this LCD before purchasing it. OfficeDepot.com lists both monitors as having a max refresh rate of only 60Hz. Also, reading into the specs of the 18", it has dual inputs but both are analog (as opposed to DVI). I'd definitely look into a review or two before getting either of these, but the prices do seem like a good ones.

Dunno if you really care, but the VA800 is really 17.4" and the VA700 is 17". Those 0.4" worth the extra $110?

DoubleN....you are right about the lack of DVI.
However, all LCD's are 60 Hz.....it's the nature of the technology. LCD's don't flicker.

I beg to differ. I am staring at a Planar 18.1" LCD and it is running at 1280x1024 @ 75 Hz. At 60 Hz there is some ghosting visible, but fortunately my LCD can do 75 Hz and at that refresh it looks fantastic. It might be the case that most LCD screens have a max refresh rate of 60 Hz, but to say that all of them do is incorrect.

Here's a link to the manual of my LCD monitor as reference (.pdf format)
