i am looking to buy a new monitor and i saw this viewsonic at onvia for about 384$ after coupon and rebate. How is this monitor? http://www.viewsonic.com/prod/mon.htm

it says it has a 27 dot pitch in the corners? hmm doesnt sound too great. what do u guys think? And can u give me some suggestions on any other 19" monitors?

also i was wondering about http://www.viewsonic.com/prod/mon.htm viewsonic gs790 it has a fairly low dot pitch but im wondering if its a perfect flat screen? has anyone been to the viewsonic website and looked at specs on any monitor? some state perfect flat screen some do not. So if they dont mention perfect flat should i assume that its not a flat screen? like this gs790 model?

I have a Viewsonic PF-790 (purchased back in February from OnVia). It rocks. I am 150% satisfied with it. You won't be disappointed.

thanks for the input i just purchased mine at onvia today.... total came out to 404 after 25$coupon.... and theres a 20$ rebate and a 10%rebate total comes out to ~346$

I got the pf790 too from buy.com though. got it for 400 when it just came out. It is a pretty nice monitor. Lately thought i noticed that the top left corner flickers a little. I dunno what is up maybe it is some of the devices near it. Anyone know anything about that? I got my computer tower, MS DS80 speakers and dsl external modem to its left.

lilstevo, if you have a magnetic or power source too close to your monitor it can cause some distortion. If you degausse it, move the magnetic/power source and still have the problem, you may have a bad tube. I have speakers right next to my monitor w/o a problem, but if I get a second monitor too close there's an immediate reaction.
