Over at necx the monitor is 434, if you browse the site a few times, they POST their own coupon code on their own site Spend 399 - 35 off. There is another 50 off coupon code but you need to spend 499, thats not listed but it's somewhere on another coupon site..

So 434 - 35 = 399 - 50 Rebate = 349 and FREE Shipping.. pretty decent deal since most places sell the monitor for 389 but 40-80 shipping..

Necx's own coupon code while you shop banner

Viewsonic PF790 $50 rebate here

Not a lot of people are buying monitors now... but this is by far, very cheap for a .25 AG "perfect flat" and since it's hard getting free shipping and rebate and coupon all at once..

Nope, The Samsung 955DF is not a AG (Aperature Grill) Monitor. It is a invar shadow mask tube. The AG Tubes are considered higher end. They tend to be able to hit higher resolutions and have higher refresh rates. They also are the ones with the 2 damper wires that bug some people. To tell you the truth though I kind of like the Invar mask tubes more. They don't have those wires and there a lot cheaper. Supposedly they are sharper on text. Which I've seen on a few monitors but, only compared to cheap AG. The nicer AG's are very sharp in my opinion. But the cost issue is still there. Very nice price for the viewsonic though.

First post, so be gentle...

You can do a mite better than the original..

PM at Staples for the $434.99

Apply the $40 off $200 coupon

Then get the rebate

Should be $5.00 cheaper, no much, but I think I'd rather deal with Staples than necxdirect.com.

Oh yeah, I pay 8.5% tax so I rather order it.. but if you have lower tax rate.. and staples has free shipping too....

what % does staples PM ??

its 483.. lowest on web is like 399 so if you PM to 399, you can get a better deal!

if you could still stack coupons it would still be possible to get it at around $288. i've heard some talk about not being able to stack anymore, but i haven't heard a definitive no.

I think that Staples has a policy of including the competitors shipping fees in the PM. Plus necx has the $35 off coupon. The bottom line to compare then would be to include the shipping with the price to see if it matches up to necx's price after coupon which = 399. So for anyplace that charges usual shipping prices on a monitor, you would be looking for a target price of around 350 to 360.

This looks like a nice deal for 349.

My only question is where is the free shipping offered at the necx site? They wanted to charge me 39 dollars!
