Viewsonic or MicronPC monitor?

My dad is looking for a 19" flat screen, I recommended Viewsonic to him since I have an A75f 17" and love it. The 19" flat they have is the PF790, he was going to buy it until the folks at Best Buy recommended the MicronPC 900MX, it is a true flat screen with according to them a Sony Trinitron tube. Any input or suggestions/recommendations?

I currently use the PF790's and they are allright... but the Micron 900MX, I believe, is a remarked CTX monitor. I know that it is using a Sony FD Trinitron .25 tube... here

I would suggest the Micron Monitor as well... the Sony tube is nice...

The MicronPC monitor is good but I'm partial to ViewSonic. I have the PS790 and very happy with it. I never go by a store recommendation especially Best Buy. View them both and then make the decision.

Consider a Samsung 900NF. A damn good ag flatscreen monitor for its price.

I have the Viewsonic G790 (little lower end that the PF790) Its been a wonderful monitor !
