ViewSonic E70f+ ViewMeter Status: Over?

Hi, I have had this PC and monitor for about a year and unfortunately had to format my C: drive after a virus attack. Now whenever I alt tab or close a game program My monitor shows me the "viewmeter", which gives me some numbers and at the bottom says Status: OVER. It then goes into standby mode and I am forced to restart the PC.

I also am only able to see my display properties before windows is finished loading. If i try after it is done loading i get the error message "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." But display properties were working for a while after I did the format.

Anyone know what is wrong?

Ok now for some reason i am no longer getting the Status Over message but I still cant access my display properties (and a number of other control panel options). Perhaps a moderator could now move this to the correct forum?
