I have the Viewsonic--I got it about a month ago when Costco first got 'em in.

Cons:
-I'm not fond at all of the front bezel or the stand-it looks cheaper than the 2025wm that I almost bought instead.
-The front buttons are nearly impossible to find in the dark and to operate.
-There's also some backlight bleeding at the top and bottom of the screen.

However, all of that said, it's a solid monitor for widescreen gaming. The screen's refresh rate is plenty fast. Brightness is fine and DVDs look about as good as they do on my 19" Samsung. The Viewsonic's colors aren't as quite as rich as my Samsung but it's fine for <$350, though I wouldn't pay any more for it than that. For $300 out the door with Costco's great warranty you cannot beat it!

No bad pixels on mine, either. The stand lacks adjustments but feels very solid on my crowded desktop.

You can return your LCD and get refund coupon and buy another if available. Costco's return policy is unbelievable.

The rebates are instore. They give out rebate coupons for all items affected at the store if you hadn't received them in the mail.

Well, just picked up my Viewsonic 22". It was selling for $349.99 less the instore rebate coupon of $50, I got it for $299.99 + tax.

The Sceptre was all gone, but at least I got my widescreen. As stated earlier, the plastic bezel was'nt impressive but I think I have a way to knock off that sheen.
