Hey guys,

If any store gives beef about the price match, I'm pretty sure you can convince the customer service manager that if you were to return it for store credit they would have a monitor in stock to purchase at the lower price. Anyhow the manhatten store I went to price matched to the lower price for both monitors I bought and also gave me the 50 dollar pseudo rebate we all had problems with. I showed the print out about the 100 in rebates and she got working on both monitors immediately. Though I wanted to replace one monitor because of a weird shadow but now with the ~120 in credit I will send it to Viewsonic to repair instead.

Is this only in an OD B&M? Online, the same monitor (A90f) is $299. I'm confused.

Jammer53: Yes this is only an OD B&M deal. The online monitor is an A90F...the one you are looking for is an A90. They are both 19' is just that the one online is the FLAT version.

BTW: This is what my monitor came to $224 - $50MIR - $30($30 off $100 Staples coupon) - $81(refund from price drop based on the first reciept) - $48(refund off second reciept) = $15 Viewsonic 19' A90....not bad. And if your confused about the two reciept thing then check the previous pages of this post. I dropped some information on that.

Sweet deal! I just picked one up for $149.99 (they were still priced higher on the display) but I had them check their computer and sure enough, $149.99! I stacked that with a coupon I had received in the mail for $15 off (I already used my $20 off last week on toner). The rebate form prints out on the receipt and says it's valid on a A90, A95f, or A100 monitor. The form also says: Cannot be combined with any other rebate offer.

Score! I snagged a 2nd one for a friend (one rebate per household). They even honored Staples $30 off $150 coupon. The trick is to walk into the store and ask if they honor 'competitor coupons' and once they say yes, walk back and pick up one of the A90's and bring it up to the counter. If you drag the monitor up first, then they will probably not be as willing to honor it. $150 - $30 coupon - $50 rebate = $70!

YMMV on using a 'competitor's coupon'...none of the stores that I called in the SF Bay Area ever heard of that...and I was speaking to managers. They do pricematch, but only if, for instance Staples, has the same item in stock. So I guess IF Staples had it for $150, plus there was a $30 coupon that you could use at the time, then I suppose OD would match w/the coupon.

Anyways, I set mine up last nite...looks nice...wish it were the A90F instead, but I'm not really complaining.

e5fxt: I believe that the PM is good for 30 days...at least that is what I heard from the manager that I spoke to. I would did it asap and don't give up. All these OD managers are different...so try different managers (at the same OD) or go to different ODs. Some manager some where will give you the difference. Good luck!
