Looks almost flat to me. Not much of a curve there.

I've had this monitor 2+ years and it's nice. Very slight curveature, but you won't notice it unless you're looking for it. I paid 429 with a 30 rebate when they first came out. 124 is a great deal, I would jump on this as an extra if I didn't buy the Samsung Syncmaster for 106 at Dell 2 months ago. Buy this, you won't be sorry.

well...I rekon it's back to the OD now. I'm going to see if the manager (PROBABLY NOT on DUTY on a Saturday) will take care of this for me. I'm DEFINATELY going to try to grab one of those $100 in rebates off the shelf! Hopefully they'll take care of me as they did all of you!

Nice OD Manager gave me the display model for $99 !

hmmm.. anyone have an extra box with the UPC/serial # still intact... I'll gladly paypal ya some $ for the UPC

If we are going to have any chance of getting that extra $50 out of OD, we all need to email OD and tell them that there is a problem and they need to take care of it.


Then we can PM these and really get a good deal from them.

I'd love to score one to use as a backup monitor so I can send my Samsung monitor in for repair...grrr those jackasses at fedex ground totally wrecked the poor thing when they sent it. Originally UPS handled it fine but when I shipped it to my dorm it got fux0red...

*sigh*

So I need another monitor to hold me off while I get the samsung repaired which PISSES me off since I don't want a friggin' used monitor, I want a NEW one which is what my monitor was before fedex wrecked it..

*sigh* I hate fedex ground...they never sent the claim form for my main PC which showed up bashed in and the heatsink fell off. What the f*ck did they do to my poor computer jesus. It even said FRAGILE on it but of course these idiots...

well...I went back to OD and got the manager to take off another $50 when I showed them that the two addys on the "separate rebates" were one and the same. She was extremely nice about it, and even printed me a new rebate and receipt for the monitor! So...this story had a happy ending for me! WAHOOOOOOOOOOOO!

$124 final cost for me after nice OD manager and $50 rebate!

Hi,
I was working on friday so I asked my friend to pick me up one at local office depot where he lives. Anyway he was able to use a coupon and purchase it for me, but when he gave me the reciept there was only the viewsonic rebate with it. What should I do to get the additional 50 dollars? I'm new to this whole hot deal getting process, so any info on what to do and how to approach the manager would be appreciated. Also my friend mentioned that the A90's were not in display so he didnt see a sign specifying 100 dollars in rebates. Should I just concede the 50 dollars? Thanks in advance.

ok here's my run down, dates on last post were way off but i have reciepts in hand this time

12/31/01- bought monitor for 284-50mir=234
thought i got a decent deal on a nice monitor and went home happy

01/01/02- mail in rebate

01/09/02- i'm walking thru OD and i notice my new monitor has droped $30 , so i ran home get the receipt and get a price match
284-50mir-30pm=204 at this point i called one of my freinds and tell them to get one.

02/02/02- after reading this thread the day before i head into OD. it's been more than 30 days since my original purchase but i try fot it anyway. look at my last recipt and on the 9th they didn't do a pricematch they did a return and new sale so i only show them that receipt and they give me $30. 284-50mir-30pm-30pm=174 i'm preaty stinking happy if it would have ended here but on the new receipt they did a return and new sale so if all goes well...

02/15/02- 284-50mir-30pm-30pm-46pm=128 if only i'd thought to use a $20 coupon dam my lousy luck
j/k i totaly love this monitor and was happy when i got it for $106 more. man i love this forum.

hotpants- the secound rebate was a priceing error at a specific or possible group of stores, without proof that the store you got it at advertised that price there's almost no chance of you getting it. i say almost only because i don't like useing absolutes unless the apply, stranger things have happend but i doubt it will happen to you. but what you an do is keep your reciept until the 15th and go in and have them do a price check. if it does indeed drop to 179 you can get a pricematch even if they don't actualy have any monitors in store.

and i'm preaty shure that if the price ends in .00 that that is the last price it will be sold at but i'm not sure. and Useful0ne may have just rounded the number.

they don't put sku's on the receipt and there's no more signs for this at my store and it's not online anymore that i can find, hope the upc helps

well i got the monitor but i didn't get the second 50 dollar off but i took the advertisement as proof for the 100 mail in rebate so hopefully when i call the main headquarter they can figure out from there. So wish me luck guys

If someone would post a scan of the receipt then I know it will work for me!!! I got the Microsoft Precision 2 Joystick at OD a couple of weeks ago for $7.88 by showing the assistant Mgr a copy of the receipt from the Sylmar,CA store that someone posted here in this forum.Worked like a charm here in Memphis.Post the receipt please...pretty please

I just want most of U guys to at LEAST try to get the manager to take $50 off AT THE STORE...b/c it's worked for me and a few others on here. They're trained @ some special DON'T EVER PM ANYTHING place...but along w/ this training the OD managers also learn what False Advertising is. So, when you show this to them they're VERY likely to just take the $50 off for you @ the counter...and maybe even print a new receipt/rebate like they did for me!

Also for those who did buy a monitor I'm gonna try to take this coupon from Staples PostDeals.net February 5, 2002, 12:41:21 AM Post and have them honor it at Office Depot ($30 off $150). Then wait for that 2/15 price drop and get an additional refund of the difference in my purchase price and new price. Anybody got info on Office Depot honoring Staples coupons (will they do it?).
