How much you guys think I could get for my used Samsung? $100?

I have a 5 year old 20" (1600x1200) Dell Ultra Sharp now. I really like it and I have no complaints whatsoever but I wonder if a newer monitor would give me a more vibrant image. By my calculations this monitor would have about 7.5% more screen area.

Yes it does, and I hope it sticks. I recently bought a 16x9 🙂

a 4x3 20" has 192.2 sq. inches
a 16x9 24" has 246.02 sq. inches
53.82 more sq. inches is ~28% more screen area

Great Deal thanks for sharing. 🙂
I just picked one up from Costco on my way home. Came out to 256.00 out the door. Damn that E-waste charge.
How did $219 become $256???
Inquiring minds want to know

Anyone care to share their tweaked monitor settings for this?
I really really want to like this monitor but I have issues with color/brightness. It is very dull and washed out looking.
I used several online lcd calibration tools as well as the optimizer in Windows Media Center. Contrast set to about 70-75 and Brightness to 0. Even at 0 it's too bright. Needs to go to about -50 or so. Color set to default 6500k.
I have a 19" Dell E198wfp at factory defaults side by side with this and the difference is pretty stark. Both lcd's are TN panels I believe (Dell is 8 bit, Viewsonic 6 bit?).
I want to keep this, I really do. If I can't fix the colors tho I need to keep shopping.
