Titan-Z - $3,000USD

Not sure but I believe it is 2x Titan. It is being sold as a compute beast, he did not even mention it for gaming.

And that is how you make look like distributed rendering is Nvidia's invention, starring JHH. The misinformation never ends.

PD: Alatar can add that to Nvidia's "innovations".... heh.

Warning issued for callout.

Is this SIGGRAPH 2009? Because I feel like I have seen this before.... oh yes, it was with Vray RT. Nevermind.

It isn't being sold for gaming. For compute, 2x within PCIE spec?

even if it not meant for gaming, why would having a dual GPU Titan different from having two Titans in SLI? beside the slot saved and maybe some heat and power draw. I expect being a dual GPU, the performance should be about the same. If the Titan Z some how is better, he better be at least 30% across the board to justify the 30 percent price difference

I can think of a few uses for the extra 1 grand you are paying for that Titan Z.... ah yes, building an entire platform to hold even more vanilla Titans, making the price premium of the Titan Z seem bogus.

So with 6 grand I can buy either 2 Titan Zs and stare at them while I still save more bucks for the platform to actually use them, or get 5 titans and a platform with x5 PCI-E.

Btw, was it an open design? Didnt look like a blower to me. If it isnt a blower, i dont see the point of making this product as you are really hurting the thermal design of your rack with all those Titan Z's throwing the heat into the case.

Think workstation, not rack mount.

it a dual blower like the GTX 690 to me, which mean it will blow heat into your case as well. Might as well have an open air design.
