Videocard error

"VPU recover has reset your graphics accelerator as it was no longer responding to graphics driver commands"

Anyone any solutions or reasons why my computer hates meand wont work

brand spanking new only out of its box 2 weeks at most.. and update on all drivers and everything

hhhmmmm.... what could it be?..... did you have nvidia cards installed in your system before? other than this, im out of ideas... :)

nope brand new computer.. this si the first land and only card to be installed on this computer
.. like is aid only been running for about 2-3 weeks now

did you post this on the video card section? maybe some guys there have an idea on this...

when im playing worldofwarcraft it slows down and then freezes... i alt tab out of the program to find this error message.. then i alt tab back into wow it seems to be working for like a couple mins then does the same thing again


just an updage.. i uninstalled my drivers and reinstalled thema nd it wokrs decent now.. but every so often my computer will still freeze when i am playing wow.. forceing me to reboot

men?! i had the same problem just last nigth!!! exactly like "VPU recover has reset your graphics accelerator as it was no longer responding to graphics driver commands" .... i was playing max payne 2 then it freezes, got to windows and it showed that message...i'll try to bring this up to ATI...though im not sure yet, i think the cause is when a certain program runs in the background(i.e. virus scanner etc...) while playing a game...coz you see,my intel audio studio runs in the background and in the middle of the game the trial period expired thus causing a system glitch and eventually affected my gaming that's why it frozed for while...but when i run max payne again without intel audio studio in the background, things were running OK already... :)
