I ran identical benchmarks for 2 cards

First with an ATI 32meg pci in an AK31 mobo
results were Quality 719
Performance 885
Features 665

Second, a Voodoo5 agp in a MSI K7T Pro 2-A
results were 496,812,552 respectively

I must be doing something wrong no? I would have thought the Voodoo
would win hands down. 3rd party drivers for the Voodoo
Any opinions or suggestions would be appreciated

No surprise at all, in fact it's amazing the Voodoo5 got as close as it did.
Video 2000 measures DVD performance/features/quality etc, and it's no secret that ATi has long had the best DVD playback capabilities of any consumer graphics card. Even an old ATi Rage 128 would likely beat out the Voodoo5 easily in that benchmark.

In the real world, the ATi card would likely do even better then the benchmark indicates as there are a few advanced DVD decoding features ATi's Radeon supports that Video2000 does not take into account.

DVD playback capabilities was one area wherin 3dfx was always rather lackluster, ATi on the other hand has long been reknowned for their DVD support.

I see. I thought the performance of the Voodoo would by far be greater.
