I built a system a while ago for my dad, and he has been having varied problems with it. During the burn-in time, I didn't have any problems, so I can't figure out what could be causing these. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
In essence, when he boots up the PC, it takes up to (or around) five minutes for the video to show up to the screen. This happens regardless of the bootup process; if he hits delete to go into the bios, it doesn't show up for five minutes. If he lets XP load, he doesn't see the login screen until he hits the keyboard five minutes into the computer starting up.
Here's relevant system info:
ASUS CUSL2
Radeon 7000 Video (problem duplicated with TNT2 Ultra)
Celeron 800
15gb 7200 Maxtor HD
The problem has been duplicated with two video cards and three separate monitors. Anyone have ideas?
