I am building my new pc
E6750
x1950pro
IP35-E
250GB Seagate
Corsair 450
G.Skill 2gb ddr2 800
Thermaltake Xaser II 5000

The PC boots fine, but no video!!!!
I tried a PCI geforce 4 MX440 which I know works, and still no video. Can anyone help me ?

Are you trying to run a new monitor also? Some monitors have trouble with DVI connections ("blackout"), have you tried using analog connector?

i don't know if it has to do with a DVI connector. i used the analog on the mx440 because the monitor is a crt. It booted once actually, when i got to the bios, i set the SATA HDD as master and the IDE HDD as slave and then restarted and it just beeped one long slow beep. Since then I haven't been able to get it to show video again.

Boots fine? Doesn't sound like it. 🙂

anyway, did you update the BIOS on your MB? What model of g.skill do you have? (exact model #). If you didn't update your BIOS and the memory does not run at EXACTLY 1.8V you will have the type of problem you describe. Get some memory that does work at 1.8V and you will be able to enter BIOS to set the memory voltage to whatever your g.skill memory works at.

I had the EXACT same problem with that board and some OCZ memory that runs at 2.1V (bought some cheap kingston RAM to fix the BIOS, thank you Fry's return policy). Abit sucks like that, my previous Abit P4 board had the EXACT same problem 9wrong voltage seting for the memory). you would think they would figure this out? The latest BIOS sets the memory voltage to Auto, so you should be able to boot with it.

If the g.skill does run at 1.8V, well, probably need to RMA.

have you tried ur video cards on other pcs ? wat if coincidentally they've both stoppd wurkin..unlikely..chek it neways?

well i checked the pci one before i even bothered installing it, but i cannot check the pci express card because i don't have another pc with pci express
