Video tweaks for Half life2

Can anyone point me to a FAQ related to Half Life2 video settings??? I am getting tearing. I am using a Geforce 6600GT. The quality looks good but I believe I have missed a setting somewhere.

vertical sync for the obvious video option to check.(Sorry if u've already enabled it, just thought i'd state the obvious)

What he said. As far as I know, VSYNC is the only reason you should get tearing. Unless you're talking about something else and calling it tearing.
