Hello

I use Screenblast Movie Studio, to put together presentention of pictures and movies, that have been taken on trips. When I add music, and start play back the sound stuters.
Do I need to upgrade my system, or build a entirely new system that will handle this better.
Look at my sig for current system.

Your title says "video stutters" but your message reply says "sound". Which one is it? :)

[*]Which version of Detonators/Forceware's?
[*]Which version of nForce drivers?

What kind of sound card? If you are using integrated sound card, a switch to an audigy or audigy2 will help. Also make sure your sound drivers are current.

Have you tried exporting your final video project as an avi/wmv or mpeg file?

Video editors often show you a rough "preview" version of your project while you are editing it. In order to get a fully optimized ("smooth") copy, you have to allow the software to export your project to an actual video file.

Hope this helps!

Lets get some basics here, eh?

You sig is meaningless.....its hardware stuff (who cares about your fans or keyboard???)......so how about telling us the video codec used (and bitrate) and the audio codec (and bitrate).... is the final thing compliant to any standard (DVD, SVCD, VDC?) or is it an avi. What does GSpot say about the audio codec.........and do you have more than one version of that codec installed? Have you tried playing the file with a different codec/filter or even media player?

Also do you know what you are doing (hope that doesnt sound harsh)......or are you new to this kind of thing?

Why have you chosen this software, was it recommended and if so can they help?

Im fairly new at this, this is only my second project. The first one didnt have any music to it.

I originally pointed to my sig, because I thought my system was deficient somewhere, and wanted to see If that was the problem.

Software was chosen, bause it was on sale on heard some pretty decent things on it.

You guys have given me some things to look at, because I had no Idea what is causing the problem.

Will get back to you.

Thanks
