It looks like its just a series of apps, not an actual UI skin.

Does look pretty nice though.

I think it looks horrible but primarily because it doesn't fit in with the "look" of wp7..... I would have much preferred them make a hub that first in with the rest of the look as sense on the phone.

A small bit of animation is fine but that is far too much (the initial loading screen takes a good 2 seconds)

It doesn't take any longer to load than notes on my 3G.

I also think it looks awesome. If this is what Windows Phone 7 is going to look like, i'm definitely excited.

Yep looks pretty cool. The animations may get old though so it will be nice if they can be turned off. Then again they could be masking a load time so I suppose if I have to watch a mini-animation as opposed to experience a pause then I would go with the latter.

Sense for Android actually has less animations than the stock skin. I find it surprising that they would go over the top with animations like this. With too many and lengthy animations, it doesn't matter how fast the hardware is. You'll be waiting for the actual animation to finish.

Well, Microsoft has already gone on record and stated manufacturers won't be able to customize the experience to the extent that they could with WM6.

HTC cannot customize the main OS feel, but they can pretty up apps and custom screens all they want. In the end, it definitely won't have the full-system-overhaul feel like they did with Sense on Android or WM6.

Companies can't skin WP7, MS won't allow it.

I'm aware. Engadget is creaming themselves in their articles like its Sense in the traditional way, which obviously its not.
