Thank god they're selling those to the Iranians and Syria-we wouldn't want the RUSSIANS to use them on us ;)

They may fire first, but they will be the ones who are doomed.

It still made my place rumble like when the space shuttle launches or flys over my place for a landing at Cape Kennedy.

They're not selling them to either of those countries.

Of the 73 carriers active only 62 are reported to be solid to NATO-Russia sold the other 9. Wiki is a joke if you're trying to make manifest any kind of primary source material lad.

If you're going to be an internet punkass, at least try to back up your statements. Show me a source, any source, that states that Russia has sold missiles to Iran or Syria.

So far, you've talked a lot but failed to back up your statements. I have a suspicion that you haven't simply because you can't.

Back up your claim and I'll back up mine.

Wiki is not a source lad.

Just as I suspected, you cannot back up your claim that Russia has sold the Topol-M to Iran and Syria.

Remember this:

I'm still waiting for Rogodin 2 to back up his claims. He can't, so he has conveniently disappeared. I guess it's easier doing that than actually proving something that's false.

Wow... cool. I wonder what a US mobile missile launcher looks like.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ohio_class_submarine

I meant LANDBASED!

What use would we get out of them? I'd think our subs would have the ability to hit anywhere in the world at any time.

We don't ahve mobile land based carriers like those? I would've thought we would. Isn't the goal of a first strike capability to wipe out a nation's ability to strike back? SO that's why we have subs obviously, but I would've thought we would have mobile nukes too... must be tough though, if we did they must be manned with like 300 guards too when they need to be moved :)

As discussed, Russian sources may have already provided an SS-25 to China and offered 45 Topol M ICBMs to Iran. If so, the taboo on transferring ICBMs may be weakening, establishing a precedent for exporting these systems. The recent reports of Russian SS-4 technology and components being transferred to Iran strengthens this fear.

New York Times A45, P32, S23 Issue 112006, Ilan Trastantov.

Again, where is your proof?

That passage offers no indication that Russia has sold missiles to Iran. All it says is that they may have offered the missiles to Iran.

Surely they haven't sold them to Iran, because this would have been an immense news story given that Russia would have turned a non-nuclear nation into one which possesses one of the most advanced ICBMs overnight.

Again, where is the proof?

Wow, it's so convenient to go to sleep when someone presses you to defend a point which cannot be defended.

I find it odd that you choose to stand your ground and put on a charade of an argument when in fact you have no case.

The list of nations that possess nuclear weapons is well known. With all the news stories about Iran trying to start a nuclear weapons program and develop a bomb and the US's efforts to prevent them from obtaining one, do you really think that we'd simply overlook the fact that they have a modern ICBM? Use some common sense, man.

You want sources? Try these:

http://www.fas.org/nuke/guide/iran/nuke/index.html - where is the mention of those shiny new Topol-M missiles?

http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/cold.war/experience/the.bomb/deployment/ - I don't see anything listed for Iran, do you?

http://pro-resources.net/nuclear-weapon.html - It seems they left out the part about those missiles bought from Russia...

http://www.armscontrol.org/act/2004_12/Hunter.asp - Why write an article about that if they already have "the bomb"?
