I have a question (well, really two questions) that I've been dying to ask for a long time. I have an ATI TV Wonder VE tuner card in my HP desktop. I have a VCR plugged into it through coaxial cable. The VCR acts as it would on a normal TV, displaying on channel 3. My questions are:

1. I really would like to convert VHS tapes to DVD. How would I go about doing it through this? What program(s) would I use? If I wanted to convert, I wouldn't have to record all of the VHS tape on channel 3 and then burn it, would I?

2. Can I put a blank tape in my VCR, and record a station on my computer like I normally would on a TV?

Thank you!

Um... I'm confused.

1) You should have gotten video capture software along with the card. Whatever you use to *watch* TV on the card should also let you save that video to your hard disk. If you want to record video from the VCR's output, just put a tape in the VCR, hit "Play", and then have your computer record on channel 3.

2) I don't understand your question. Why would need a blank tape in the VCR to record something on your computer?
