Video recording software

I have an eVGA 5900 Ultra that's got analog and S-Video inputs on it...but I have yet to find software that allows me to import video properly...Nero 7 Ultra doesn't recognize the card half the time (with WDM drivers installed) and the Microsoft movie maker produces juttery/laggy videos.

Does anyone have suggestions for what to use, at a resonable cost?
