video problems at 1600x1200 when i update my drivers

hey i have the x800 pro card and it works fine when i installed the driver from the cd the card came with. but when i download the latest drivers off the internet and install them and then reboot and then reset my desktop to 1600x1200 it dosent fit on my screen any more? and the same with games to. the screen wont re-adjust for the resolution. is it because my comptuer screen is to old? its a dell UltraScan 21'' its pritty old to. but is that my problem? because it works fine with the cd-rom drivers that came with the card.

so if anyone knows whats goign on id like to know. thanks..
 
that dosent do it. like i can run the lower resolutions just fine and the monitor will adjust to those fine. but the 1600x1200 gets mest up. it only shows part of teh scree. but adjusting thes screen in its settings dosent fix the problem.

(am i making sens? )
