Video Problem

I have a KT7a Pro Ver 1 motherboard with a Duron 700 chip. It was running great at 950 for quite awhile. Then it suddenly became eratic. It would lose video. After sitting for awhile video will return. I switched to a pci video card 7 all seemed well. Then no video again. Do you think this is the chip or board. I have tried taking everything out & just running the board. It sometimes runns & then no. Help, can I salvage this board? Should I buy another chip? Or scrap the whole thing. I also have tried different memory, & a different power supply.
