Video Problem

Hey guys, My friend recently bought a new laptap, a gateway MX6955 Notebook.

Intel core solo processor at 1.86ghz
a gig of ram
Video: INTEL graphics media accelerator 950 with up to 128mb shared video memory

And everything else is pretty much alright.

So anyways we bought counter strike source, and attemped to play. It began loading but then the screen just went black and steam tells us that our video hardware wasen't detected as one on their list of compatible video hardwares. SO my question is, is there anyway we can combat this?? I mean, every spec on this laptop is more than enough to play counter strike, and it's kind of annoying we can't because of this.

I realize these aren't the best computer specs but all of the other parts of the computer are ,like I said, more than enough. so anyway...any thoughts?
