Video problem with Windows media player

I just reformatted my computer and when i try to watch a movie, everything is messed up. The video is super bright, and you can hardly see anything in the video. I am pretty sure this is a video driver issue, any help would be awesome.

thanks

1rst - get the latest 80 series nvidia drivers. The latest drivers should fix this common nvidia bug
2nd - If that doesn't work, or if you want a quick fix. Go into windows media player Advanced options and select "High Quality" mode for video playback. This will definatly fix it.

good luck.

nah, this has been a common nvidia problem w/any version of wmp

You could try media player classic. Is this all videos? Or just a specific type? Could be a bad codec. But you are right, video card drivers are often an issue.

lol...okay...i'm willing to bet 145 billion dollars that my original solution worked 🙂

go to Tools -> Performance -> Advanced -> Check 'Use High Quality Mode'

just waiting to hear 🙂

I had almost the same problem and posted here. Didn't get much of a response! But i did find a fix.. All i did was use extreme-g tweaked drivers. Anything 81.85+ worked for me. I have a 7800gt btw.
