When playing 3d games like Medal of Honor my screen will get these greenish yellow lines all over the place making the game unplayable. It doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes I can play for an hour or two and it will not do it, but it does it enough to be very annoying. It has also happend twice when not playing a 3d game just on the Windows desktop. I did a clean install of XP and the latest drivers and control panel from ATI, but it still does it. I've also ruled out the monitor cause it did the same thing on my brothers monitor.

Do you think I have a bad videocard? Or could it be my motherboard? Anyone else have a similar problem?

Are you sure you have good cooling. Is the fan on the video card working?

Yes the fan on the card is working. And its not overclocked so it shouldn't be getting too hot.

Which power supply?

Tried testing the card in your brother's computer?

I'm using a Soyo KT 400 Ultra Black Edition and a Raidmax 400 Watt power supply. I put the card in my brothers computer for about a half hour and had no problems, but sometimes I can play for quite awhile without a problem. I didn't have time to leave it in longer, but maybe I'll try it again later.

Might not be of too much relevance,

but I used to have a GeForce 2 Pro that was my daily card, I used it for like a year or two. No problems at all. It wasn't overclocked either..
Then after a certain time I would see like strange glows in certain games. Like blue dots, or red dots, etc. They weren't too noticeable until I really saw they were there and that the maps in the game really didn't have that. Like in half life, some green/red/blue (strange RGB) dots on the floor every like 30 feet or so,

Then I ran Silent Hill 2 for PC, and had a grip of problems. When I had the main character run around on the street, I would see these crazy texture glitches - like grey triangles on the ashphalt of the street, grey jagged edges on walls. It was driving me crazy since these were the only other things I saw othre than the fog, and monsters got me easy.

Then I stopped playing it, a couple of months later I got a GeForce3 from a friend, I tried that in SH now, and it worked perfectly fine, all the bad things I saw from the GF2 were gone.

I seriously doubt the floppy power connector is the problem.
Which ATI drivers are you using? if it's the cat 3.2's, try the 3.4's. if you have 3.4's install 3.2's etc.
Have you installed the newest allinone(hyperion i think they call it now) VIA chipset motherboard drivers?
What are the temps in your case, and cpu temps?
Are you overclocking the card, or your system at all?

Do the lines ever appear when the machine is first turned on (POST)?
If so, I would have to say there is a problem with the ram on the card
or the card is overheating (not a good thermal contact on the CPU/FAN).

If not, there may be an issue with the type of RAM you have installed.

Have you updated the BIOS?
Could be a conflict with the Highpoint BIOS
