video playback problems

hey guys, i cant play back any files i download correctly. in wm9 i have to disable full video acceleration, and select 'use this if you have problems'. my problem is kind of hard to explain but, if the settings are at full accel. the video looks cropped and stretched out, if its not at full accel. its fine but kinda choppy. i recently upgraded to a geforce 4 ti4200 and winxp. thanks.
