As the topic says, I recently discovered this issue and I can't fathom what the possible causes could be.
I have a 1080p Asus monitor, and I recently connected an 1080p HDTV to the HDMI2 port of my new Asus Strix 1070.
If I set multimonitor to "extend desktop" everything works fine with a 1080p 60hz signal on both displays.
If I use each display one at a time, again signal is fine with 1080p 60hz signal.
If I set multimonitor to "clone screen" mode, the signal will become 1080p 50hz on both screens.
With the clone screen option up I can't change resolution/refreshrate of the secondary display, but I can change it for the primary one on the nVidia control panel, but regardless of what I put there (60, 59, 50hz) the ouput signal still stays at 50hz.
I really don't understand what's happening, anybody got a clue what could be causing this bizarre issue?
Windows 10 here, updated to the latest available patch. Using nVidia latest WHQL drivers and I don't use nVidia Xperience software.
