Good god!!

If you listen carefully enough, you can hear his ankle *SNAP*!!

FYI - I searched for "ebaum", "ebaumsworld", "break", "ankle" and "movie" and didnt see it posted.

The snap happens before the rope is pulled tight, then there is another snap as he is headed toward the wall, sounds like it is coming from something they were doing on the boat.

Sounded more like the tree snapping than his ankle, both times. The camera wasn't on him long enough to really tell.

If the branch snapped, would he have fallen into the water.

the branch doesnt have to be completely off

True, but with his momentum and weigh, you would think if it snapped it would tear off of the tree. Its hard to tell visually since the video isnt the best of quality, but it looks like his ankle is dorked to the side. I wonder if it was his knee?

I've seen more gruesome accidents anyways. Especially in some skate accident videos, seeing kids completely cork their arm so that their elbow bends the wrong way is.. well, sickening. I've also seen some kid jump off a ~25ft ledge on rollerblades, then have his feet slide out from under him on the landing and hit his head pretty hard on the pavement. The kid was out cold for like 10 minutes. Saw some kid fall and bust his eye open, another kid got a skateboard to his face while he was filming, etc..

He probably did break something but I didn't hear it.

The most gruesome bone-breaking footage I've seen was Tim Krumrie's injury during the Superbowl.
