notfred, do you have clipless shoes on your bike? I would get a clipless shoes because you can lift from the body of the bike giving you more lift. Have you tried wheelies? Jumping is a lot easier then wheelies and if you can do wheelies, you can easily jump. If you don't know what clipless shoes are then go and look em up. It's essentially shoes with a latch on the bottom the attach to the pedals of the bike securing them.

using clipless to jump your bike = no talent... 😛
 
I think the problem was that you turned your wheel when you were in the air. If you landed it straight you would have been better off, I'd think. I'm no pro but hey thats what looked like the problem to me.

I jumped off this some what big ramp and fell off the back of the bike also and bite dirt 🙁 and my bike was SH!TTY back then...
