I got to give the guy thumbs up....I think Paula Abdul is the only professional there. Sure they have to shift through tons of the untalented, but that is not the 'talents' fault. Even if the kid was going to be good it's really hard for many to do well when someone is mocking / laughing / etc at them (and of course if you can't take that you shouldn't be in showbiz, but that's not the point).

I am sure he wondered why he was there and I am sure some of the studio crew knew it would be terrible.

In the first season the judges used to comment all the time how certain people should not have been qualified.....now they know why so just go along with it.

However, anyone who thinks the best singer = the best talent doesn't know hollywood ;) You must have a little talent, but looks and style go the longer way in the music / entertainment world.

I would still love to see someone charge one of those pompous judges and have a beatdown caught live.

I realize formal training doesn't matter, but what did simon say back?

The funniest part is the interview, the guys top jaw doesn't move at all when he talks.

He said something like, "Really? That's the surprise of the century."

I think people should give him credits for having the guts to go up. The judges were kinda rude to him too.

I have to say he took it like a man not like some of those that argue that the judges are wrong. Like he said he gave it his best.
