If they have observed airstrikes for a year, why did they group in the street as to make a perfect target? You can hear those jets overhead right? I'm not drawing any conclusions, just wondering.

That would suck if it was a bunch of kids running off to play soccer.

Dude, they were Fleeing!!

Most people don't flee in stages or in enfelade.

Good riddance I say.

Nice shot cap!!

They don't care if they were civilians or insurgents. They just wanted to kill, pure and simple. The tractor video shows this even more. People defend it because they're sickos at heart that pretend to care about "bringing freedom to the Iraqi people", yet do whatever they can to be as oppressive and brutal as possible.

Who exactly are you referring to, in "they". The pilots? The ones who pulled the trigger I assume? Please clarify, because this really is a sig-worthy quote.

Yah, you support our trooops

Two things to bear in mind when watching these videos - you are seeing a very low-res copy, and you are not seeing what happened in the five or ten minutes prior. The above mentioned "tractor video" is a good example. The short version just shows the kill, and makes it look like an Apache crew just zapped some farmers for the hell of it. A longer version shows the "farmers" dumping a weapon (RPG or mortar tube, maybe) in a field, then running back and forth between the weapon and their vehicles.

You can make what you will of that.

Not if they do stuff like that, I don't. And you shouldn't either.
I do support the troops that honorably fight terrorism and insurgency.
I'm also taking this video at face value, for sake of argument.

Edit: Oh, one more thing.... if those videos were true (war crimes), would you support that sort of action?

You moron, you have no idea even what happened on either of these videos, nor do I. The argument about everyone running out of the building because they heard a jet is perfectly logical (how come nobody ran out of any other buildings?).

The tractor video is the same story. Because there is a "tractor", insurgents can't hide behind tractors (or hide weapons under them)? Listen to the Original footage - the men are acting totally professionaly. No hoots or hollers. Declaring targets and coordinating with their commander.

Here's more from the orginal story:
The pilots check in with their operational commander, who is monitoring the situation. When they tell him they are sure the man was carrying a weapon, he tells them: "Engage. Smoke him."

Anthony Cordesman, an ABCNEWS defense consultant who also viewed the tape, said the Apache pilots would have had a much clearer picture of the scene than what was recorded on the videotape. He also said they would have had intelligence about the identity of the men in the vehicles. "They're not getting a sort of blurred picture. They have a combination of intelligence and much better imagery than we can see."

But you chose to ASSume that our boys are muderers and war criminals. That's just being a disgusting leftist dirtbag (unsuprisingly based on your history of posts). Why don't you go spit on some soldiers in the airport in your spare time?

Edit to your edits:

I do support the troops that honorably fight terrorism and insurgency.
Yet you assume these weren't fighting honorably. Here, let me quote you again:

"They don't care if they were civilians or insurgents. They just wanted to kill, pure and simple. "

I'm also taking this video at face value, for sake of argument.
You are? Where is your evidence of this? Here, let me quote you again:
"They don't care if they were civilians or insurgents. They just wanted to kill, pure and simple. "

Edit: Oh, one more thing.... if those videos were true (war crimes), would you support that sort of action?
Sure would. Of course, that would require some evidence to that, of which there is none at this point.

Oops I misread that - No I would not support that, I would support action being taken against the troops/commanders.

No I wouldn't. My mistake, I misread the post as action being taken against the war criminals.

If war crimes were comitted, then I would support action against those war crimes. HOW that action is taken is another topic altogether...

Ok then.

One more link, the FULL LENGTH tractor video. (The audio worked, but the video was being wierd on my puter and locked...)

Length

Commander: "Are you sure it was a weapon?"
Response: "Positive".

Funny that GrGr's orginal site decided to Edit the video down to exclude the leadup and that portion....
