I play World of Warcraft sometimes and it randomly locks up for a moment and then all is well, usually with degraded frame rates. Then sometimes it just locks up as far as video, but mouse still moves, background programs still work, but I can't alt-tab or ctrl-alt-delete :/

Using latest ATi drivers and HD4830, everything else works just fine, reformatted recently to see if this was the issue.

The only thing I can think of is that M61P-S3 chipset gets REALLY hot usually when this occurs, but it's getting good airflow and isn't overclocked and voltage is stock. It's got a passive heatsink, but when it gets hot why do frame rates go down? Video card is cool, so I have no idea.

wow is one of the most intensive cpu/ram games out there. sounds like part of your problems are that your system is at lower end of requirements to run it.

If you don't understand the error with that statement, no one is going to be able to help you.

You can run it on a Pentium 4.

Sometimes just locks up without the chipset being really hot.

However when I first restart it it's just fine, seems to run how it should, and then slowly gets "shittier" and "shittier" over time.

When researching some people talked about powerplay, but I think when I had hwmonitor installed before reformatting the clocks pretty much stayed how they should the whole time when playing, so IDK. Also I don't think (and I looked around really well) I seen anywhere where I could change settings for clock speeds as far as 2d/3d etc.

This is with Windows 32bit XP btw.
