Video, Kung-Fu Fighting

For the love of christ.

Oh and by the way, that wasn't a freaking punch, that was a stupid movie-mimic stance and freakish arm flailing or windmilling landing a lucky blow. Neither one of them knew what they were doing, but at least one of them sure knew how to intimidate an ignorant enemy.

the other guy swings worse than a girl. He would have lost anyway.

That's part of the intimidation. You might be a great fighter, but if you're intimidated enough, you start to lose self confidence, stop thinking clearly, etc.

Wow, that guy looks like a real idiot. I think I'd pass out from laughing before the fight even started. It looked like he was in an olympic fencing stance or something trying to thrust and parry.

I want to agree with you..but look at his footwork.

He definitely isnt well trained but he seems to have some training.

Any numbnuts with enough balance to spread their feet more than shoulder length apart and not fall down can easily learn that stance. When it comes to moving, he's still a fuggin moron. He's throwing his front leg out like he's a goddamn goose-stepping nazi moron!

And in case you missed it, that guys a Moron!

I've done ninjutsu for about a 11 months now and from my point of view(take it as you will) it seems that the guy in the red either:

1) watched and imitated a lot of kung-fu movies before
2) got some simple and basic tricks from a friend who actually knows kung-fu
3) is really REALLY early in his training

I'm thinking it's probably a bit of all 3.

The other dude just doesn't know how to fight. In the begining he bounces up and down like he knows something, but you shortly realize that he doesn't since he got intimidated so easily. All he's capable of doing is the usual joe shmoe punk thing of swinging your arms like a runaway train until it hits something.... really funny to witness, but anyone with decent training in most martial arts can easily (i mean EASILY) beat off a punk that only knows how to do that.

I think the guy in red actually knew some stuff by the way he did the following:

1) performed a stance and sorta kinda knew how to move in it
2) advanced in kicking and stayed low initially
3) deflected one of the guys puches (was kinda ugly deflect/block but it worked)

The problems I saw with the guy in red that showed he was an obvious n00b/imitator was the following:

1) He shouldn't have gotten into that situation so easily anyway to begin with (but that might just be because he's an adolecent)
2) He backed off a lot and got scared when the guy closed in on him (he should have learned from that martial art that it's better stay in his spot and either preempt or counter the attack after it is blocked/deflected/evaded when he had gotten close, but I think that's just my art)
3) His balance seemed off sometimes as he was moving
4) The way he flailed his arms when they were fighting at the end, but that might be something I'm just not familiar with. (It seemed he was trying some move, but he screwed it up)
5) He always stayed IN FRONT of his opponent, even when he could have taken clear opportunities to quickly get to his side or behind him, but that might have been too advanced for him.

All in all i give it a C.

Of course this is just my perspective and I only know what I know, which probably isn't enough to give a proper assement of his actions. I'm still very early in my training as well, but this is my analysis as a ninjutsu student.

he won the fight though.

It was a lucky punch. He swings like a girl.

It's an impractical stance for street fighting and a bad imitation. His weight distribution is all wrong. I would've moved in to his back side and either attacked the back of his knee if his leg was still planted or rotated into a back kick since he'd be turning right into it.
