(Video) GTX 470 on Air noise - Silent gaming solution *lol*

Figured I'd put this up since the price on these and other last gen cards are dropping so much.

One of the big gripes about Fermi was that it ran hot and loud. I've personally had a totally different experience with everyone of the 470's I've own, from near silent stock performance to 950MHz overclocks in SLI on water gaming stable there seems to be a world of difference between what I get, and what initial reviewers got.

*Skip to 7:00 for actual load noise 😀

Enjoy, or don't, probably won't as I talk too much 🙁

Would have liked to see the camera panned to the fan side of the GPU and with the mic within 1-2 feet. I do think that open air setup would be perfectly acceptable to me when gaming with headphones.

Bella, lay off the drink mate, your hands are shaking so much I cant read the screen....LOL.
Hey, whats that accent you have?

lol..28gauge syringe, must be insulin. I guess all is safe, balla isn't a druggie. That we know of 😉

Hah, glad you've had good luck with your cards 🙂

Good friend of mine hates hates hates his EVGA 470 due to fan noise under load.

And I can testify that it gets loud.
