Just noticed that they're showing the Video games live concert a bunch on PBS this week. Set your tivos? I did 😛 - I dunno if it's any good but people paid $60+ for tickets to see it when they were on tour.

PS

Best video game album ever? Actraiser Symphonic Suite. I doubt they'll be playing any of that, though. They'll probably be playing music from Halo or World of Warcraft or some shit. I'm sure they'll have some classics in there, though.

The world can always use more orchestral arrangements of Chrono Trigger.

I wouldn't mind some FF or Halo, though. I have a Play! CD. It's decent, but I wish there were more performances of other video games I like.

Here is a link for airtimes for specific states and PBS stations. Looks like mine is on slightly after prime time, 2am 😛

The only game music I would recognize is before I started streaming radio stations on my PC quite a few years back. Now I mute all my game music when I play.

Diablo themes are still stuck on a loop in my head, no thank you.

After watching the last 30 minutes of it the other night on PBS, I was glad that I never went and wasted the money. I thought it was bad. The music selections were very boring and the arrangements were uninteresting.

Yeah I plan on fast forwarding through the lot of it, just to get a nice sampler of their work 😛

Jah it was pretty bad, I watched the whole thing in about 20 mins. Really glad I didn't pay $65 for a ticket anyways 😛

Would have much rather just watched the blindfolded pianist for an hour.

Hmm, maybe it's not a bad thing I forgot to record it then 😛

Also in a WTF moment, Jamie Lee Curtis shows up out of nowhere and starts talking about game music. It's just bazaar.
