Video Editing

Can you recommend me some video editing software?
Its been quite a while since I edit some things ... at least 5-6 years.

Wondering what is out there?

Need to edit some .mov files for work. Nothing too intense, just something reasonable to work with to edit.

Most important, it needs to be free.

Most free software licences are for personal use only,just saying...

Also see if windows movie maker is enough for your needs,or you could try out AviUtl.

Sorry, I should have phrased that differently. Work doesn't really describe properly describe it. The videos are all educational in nature and are not in anyway going to make me or anyone else any money.

I've used it before, but I can't remember a thing about it. I edit video so infrequently, it's like doing it the first time, every time. I end up using different tools every time I do it.

I remember using Avidemux quite a lot, in fact I really loved it, but it had problems with some video codecs, I don't remember which ones though but remember getting that green screen for the non-supported codecs 🙁
